Chem lights? Glowsticks? Hydraglow lights?

 This might be a goofy question but does, or has anyone experimented with glowsticks attached to baits or leaders or anything of the sort from the beach? Think it would scare shark off? Or, think they would even care? If an underwater light would bring in greenies and threadfin you would think the rest of the food chain would follow, right? Just a thought. Maybe Im just crazy. Idk. I try not to fix what aint broke but was just thinking about it and wondered what you guys might have tried. :?:

I have tried it a few times at the Skyway but never got a hit. But I partially blame that on being young and kinda dumb lol!
