If I am trying to travel light, I use the beach unbrella anchors. Take out the little screw. Dig it right in. I have used these with both a sliding trace as well as fixed and I have never had my pole go shooting off into the ocean. My fishing buddy laughs at me, but it is small and ain't going anywhere. Make sure you put something by it so that you don't lose it at night if you have a hookup.

I will use PVC in the day only because of beach walkers. Keeps your line over their heads.

Haha the bench was a really nice idée ;D
Il look to get some PVC pipes then should work just fine I think.
Im not bringing any rods or reels from Sweden just the leaders as I didn't want to buy tools and stuff cause I wont be able to pack it when going home^^
Me and my brother will be buying like 3-4 rods all in all and about the same amount of reels.
It's the rods IM concerned about, just look briefly on the airline website and it said something about maximum of 2 rods and 2 reels per person. Which to me sounded a bit strange. But as I said didn't read it to closely.
I will but them as special luggage, so il have to get a good size pvc tube to transport them in.
So was just wondering is someone had any experience flying with any type of rods..

JPSHARK38: The trash cans are also nice but I don't want any trouble or fuss as IM a tourist I should show respect to the country IM visiting.
But I really love nature and ALWAYS leave the area I have been in as close to as it was before I was there as I possible!
No littering, no misplaced objects everything is clean and nice just as it were before!

Don't want to give fisherman a bad reputation ;)

Best of luck man!! On the rods: I flew internationally recently and it seemed that a rod case is a rod case in their eyes. I carefully padded and packed 4 rods into my "Bazooka" model rod case, no issues. One tip, I always tape an index card with my flight itinerary and contact to the case. I don't trust those flimsy hang tags they put on. The padding is a good idea especially on the ends. I have watched in horror from my window seat as some knuckle dragger throws rod cases like javelins into the cargo hold, uuggghhhh. Again, best of luck.

Oh thank you for that information Chris.I will have a padded "Bazooka" tube for my rods aswell.
It already has all my contact info on it so hopefully it will get where it should.
How much did it cost you to bring it ?
