Been shark fishing for two years now and the past two summers 90 percent of my time every night was spent shark fishing and a good portion of this winter... seen a bunch of sharks but i have never seen a real bull shark... people around here think they are caught all the time but they are really sandbars like seriously half of the people around here cant tell a difference i dont get it they look so much different.. i mean the snout for gods sake and an innerdorsal ridge they just dont seem to understand that its a sandbar... but anyways im out and after one this year and hoping to get one hopefully a big one
You are definitely right about that. Where I fish everyone seems to think they are dusky's 
Still though, you should not be catching too many sandbars during the summer, and thats extremely odd to not have seen a bullshark after fishing that much. Where are you located?
Likely your spot. My crew fishes Tampa Bay for Bulls or close to the passes. Where are ya located? I like to use big Black Drum whole or a huge one cut in BIG chunks, or a big ray.
I fish panama city beach ...I fish the city pier in summer and I fish the west end of the beach along with The east end so pretty much all up and down the area....and Really? This past summer all we caught was sandbar sharks it seems like.... i mean literally we caught them left and right and we still do we constantly catch sandbars we always joke about how they are protected and it seems like thats all we catch..... Before hammerhead and tiger sharks went on the protected species list we hardly ever caught them but after they went on the protected list they started rolling in
GUYS THE FIRST TIME I EVER FISHED VENUIS PIER I CAUGHT A BULL OVER EIGHT FOOT . THAT WAS BACK IN THE DAY. THE SHARK INDUSTRY KILLED MANY INSHORE SHARK. THE BULLS ARE ON THE SOUTH END OF THE SKY WAY BRIDGE. THEY ARE NOT IN BIG NUMBERS. THE EAST COAST HAS MANY BULLS IN THE BAY . MY BIGGEST BAY BULL WEIGHT 410 POUNDS. COME OVER TO THE EAST COAST YOU WILL CATCH A BULL. BOCA GRAND HAS MANY BIG BULLS ALSO.
