Check out the picture I just posted.

I keep hearing the same old thing from everyone.
I hear "Man, Marks shark was not 14ft 2 No way."
Well, I took some of my time tonight after talking to Mark, and this is what I came up with. The tail is bent in this picture so if it was straight it would be 14ft-14.25ft.
Take a look tell me what you think.

Sometimes pic's just don't do it justice. Especially while you are trying for a nice quick release and are more concerned with the safety of the fish than photographs. I never doubted Mark. One hell of a fish!

And it doesn't help when the camera is so dead it struggles to even open the lens... you can see the quality of the pictures dissipate as the camera got deader and deader until it wasn't capable of even turning on... which was only in a few pictures sadly. Hammer has always told me: "when you catch something nice, something always seems to go wrong..." from stolen rods to ruined cameras... sadly, there's a good chance in the mesh of chaos that something bad can and will happen.

Just an average fisherman.

You make a good case, Jimmy. I never doubted Mark for a second. He has too much integrity to even consider exaggerating, lying, or misrepresenting his catches. Surely this is one future lawyer who won't be a shark, just catch sharks!

Mark's intregity has never been in doubt by those of us who personally know him and have seen his work ethic not only in his fishing but in his personal life and school work. His struggles in life have created a tenacious intelligent young man willing to sacrifice ,work hard to excel and that has carried over into his fishing and for that he has been rewarded with many fine catches over the last few years.Marks time is valuble ,he juggles a very difficult schedule with his family life caring for his ill grandmother, attending college gifted high school classes, and still finding time to fish as often as possible and doing a fine job at all of them. JimmyLevelwind has done a fine job of dissecting the length of the hammerhead. We welcome anyone who still has doubts to apply whatever measuring technique they want to the pictures in the post because we know the results will be the same. Time to put the doubts to rest. Thanks Jimmy.
