Great/awesome stuff - indeed!

Greg Skomal is a friend of mine and I'm so excited for him as Shark research is his life/passion.

This gig was a big time score tagging that many GWs for Greg and his associates and well deserved payback after what had happened when he had tagged a 15' plus female back in 2004 in Naushon Pond near Wood's Hole/lower Cape Cod (as the article references/states)!

BUT - little did he/they think (at the time) that after he tagged her she would hang around in the pond for sooo long afterwards - that they had to devise a plan to push/chaox her out, and because she was in such shallow water for so long the tag thought she was dead and released/shut down - shortly after she was ocean born out of the pond - defeating any chance to get any data whatsoever!!

Greg was absolutely bummed out wicked bad, 'cos he told me had he programmed the tag properly, that would not have happened.

Well, now all that's history and although it's been a long time since '04 - now - he's hit the jackpot, and it's only 'gonna get better 'cos all the GWs are talking to each other around the country/world about the huge ever growing seal population on Cape Cod and the Islands and the dinner bell will be ringing, louder and louder with each approaching year!!!

BIG munchfest will be going down and well needed at that - 'cos there's too many of these pesky sea coyottes in the area screwing things up, and the frisky GWs must be fed!

8-)

I've known Mel for about 12 years and he might not be your average Joe, but he's kind, honest and doesn't lie. I played pool with him, we were on a league team together and I've seen him call fouls on himself that no one saw. Plus, he's pretty smart. I own part of his fish hook patent, and when we were discussing patents, he had at least five good ideas that were all good potentials. If he says his reel is a 32/0 it is. I've seen it in person and know that he did something to expand it. It's not factory made, I don't know how he made it, or what he used, but I do know I've never seen any reel close to the same size.
