I havent fished there since june, but skyway has produced solid runs. Pier closes at 11 at desoto so ive been waiting on the right tide so i can soak bait from 5pm-9pm and hopefully drag a monster in within the 2hrs leftover. Wednesday i should be out there. Oh and dolphins suck so i use exclusively whole stingrays. Balloon out weighted and drop off balloon. then i pull out some slack line and snapswivel about 10-12ozs of weight on the line straightdown from the pier. this allows me to avoid some inconsiderate boaters. shoot me a text or call anytime 727 484 8528

havent been out to ana maria island this month but during the summer me and Dave (TopwaterDM) sure got a lot of runs almost every night we went out there. we just couldnt bring anything in, we dont know what the deal was bc we tried everything from baits to multiple hooks and even different placement of the hooks. oh well good luck if u go tho 
rite now anna maria starting to get better macs are here blue runners and jacks along with alot of mullet starting to pick up been gettin 3-5 ftrs off the city pier
