That's pretty amazing, the adrenalin rush you get when they come up and chomp on the cage is just incredible.
We had a huge female that they estimated to be over 1800 lbs it never came close to the cage it just circled the boat at a distance.Could se the dorsal fin and when she came close i could see a huge shadow, it came closeo n the oposit side of the boat while i was in the cage so couldn't geta good look at it.But had a few that was well over the 700 lb mark that where biting the cage.
I wish I had an underwater camera at that time could have gotten some great pictures.
Would love to see those pictures !

That would be the Ferallon Islands, they make up one corner of the Red Triangle off california which is where all the whites are and the shark attacks.

They still do a lot of cage diving out there still, but less then 50% of the time you see one :(

Not tryin' to butt in.....there's a book "DEVIL'S TEETH" all about a journalist's stay on the Farrallon Islands with a Great White research crew, pretty good read,
that sounds like a rough ride out to the rocks there....LOL
I posted a bit about the Islands & Shark numbers ,but can't recall where it is here LOLtalk about being an airhead!!!
Glad I remember Fishin' stories & tricks to cath 'em better than that!!

It DOES get in your blood BIG time, nothing like it and I think Florida is THE best , The true Hard Core Sharkers & Salt Water Fishermen are GOOD People;
Always have a blast , you meet total strangers & strike up a conversation like Y'All knew each other for years,
I've fished all over & it's different in Florida, the BEST,the majority of my Fishin' Florida is WEST COAST,up/down
You know you set on the sand, watch that sky turn red,pink, purple ,gold ,the sun sets ,the salty air just relaxes you & you say "YEAH, this is IT, !!!
GOD BLESS ALL Who Roam the Salt !!!
