Beach closed due to sharks
here is a link http://www.nc5now.com/w/main/story/9067561/ they say there is Tigers mixed in thought I would pass this along

Always a welcome sight to the land-based shark fisherman, it's great to see nature at work after the devastating freeze Florida suffered this winter.Just like clockwork "they're heeeeeerrrrreeeee" and we'll be heading north to catch some soon.

Tigers on Singer Island, thats pretty funny. I wouldnt believe anything you hear from the news, its 99.9% Tips with a stray Big Hammer around that picks off Tips once in a while. They are basically all spinning rod size sharks, we got 20 in 2 hours the other night all on light tackle.

Its sorta sad reading all the comments with people who call them idiots for killing the shark but arent smart enought to read the article saying it was released before they comment.

I didn't read/catch that stuff before at the bottom of the page - and just read it now.
"Why are fishermen allowed to fish off South Florida beaches anyway? The huge hooks can snag swimmers, and the story above makes it clear that they're attracting sharks with their bait. I'm all for designating certain areas of the beach for fishermen, but they should not be able to set up dozens of poles right where people swim and stroll the sand. These two geniuses attracted a 9-foot hammerhead and then released him to lurk around the shoreline."
Stupid freakin dumba$$ POS, loser. It's exactly this sentiment/mindset that's causing all the trouble.
I 'dunno what the scene was, maybe they/Jimmy figured it was better to head out/off the beach right away before video cameras showed up, or/unless the lifeguards gave them trouble. Will, get up there as soon as you can - and good luck!! I'm 'outta town 'til the 11th.
We hooked it around 8 beached him around 915.. we released him he kicked off great and strong... and we did not flee the scene or what ever lol.. the shark took us a half mile from where we were set up .. so if someone really wanted to steal a new kayak a 10/0 a 12/0 and a 14/0... they could have. so we decided to get back to our stuff.. oh also he was 119inches which is 9 ft 11.. we didnt get many "good" photos... we worried more about releasing him as fast as possible... I will post pictures soon... i just walked in the door.
