Hey guys, im going to the keys tmrw and i am looking for some more spots to fish besides the long key bridge. We are staying on Duck Key, so anywhere near there would be good. Also i noticed you can only fish one tide for sharks at long key, so i was wondering if there are any other good bridges near there where we can fish both tides.. I heard channel 5, but im not sure where it is exactly. Please let me know! Thanks guys.

I believe channel 5 is right before Marathon if I'm not mistaking. And I can tell you 4 months ago I made a snapper/grouper trip with a few friends down to that bridge someone brought a 6/0 and we caught a small 30-40lb bull shark and was getting ready to bring it up in a net when a HUGE hammerhead destroyed it. Also while fishing for bait on channel 2 we had two good hits on the 6/0 but never connected to anything.

You can shark fish long key on outgoing tide. You can try CH 5 on both incoming and outgoing. It's about 7 minutes north of Long Key. It has a high driving bridge and the fishing bridge is below. You can also go to the next bridge north which is CH 2 but you can only shark fish incoming. You can also try Tom's Harbor outgoing it's next bridge after long key. You can try 7 Mile south side as well. All the bridges are good and can produce. Good luck. Hope this helps.
