Just remember, Aaron, people can be swept up in the moment. Even our hero Rene was disqualified from a tournament years ago. You know that taking credit for a fish that you didn't truly catch alone is wrong, but it happens sometimes. I think Mike Palmer is a stand up sort of guy, but felt driven to make sure that his protege was #1. We all need to be careful before we start rubbing somebody's face in the dirt.

I hold no ill will against MP despite the fact that I am the rightful winner of the 09 BTC. Everyone makes mistakes but you would like to see them own up to their mistakes. People are quick to forgive those that take responsibility for their actions.

Zac Meyer, Josh Emerson and myself wont ever be friends or fish with Mike ever again due to personal reasons and from the BTC incident....He cared more about the popularity and respect toward himself and not the team...or fishing....the SFSC has big respect from TOS cause you guys are all true fishermen and fish for the love and passion of fishing not for a picture or credit of a fish that was caught...As someone who loves fishing and respects it Zac and everyone else i fish with would never condone themselves to cheating to win a tourney,,,its not about money,records, trophys its about the passion of catching fiish.....palmer didnt have that.

This forum keeps it clean with its posts cause you all are hardcore fishermen and dont care about the BS....your here for the fishing.......and thats how it should be!

Isnt mike palmer family of some of you guys? He must have really rubbed alot of people the wrong way.Every one i talk to hates the guy!!!!! I personally would find a spot in myt heart to forgive the man. After all mange maybe this was a huge wake up call for him. ge shouldnt be aloud to fish tournaments,however he still is a legend and great shark fisherman. The Rene de dios sickness got to him, a Cancer to be number 1 at all times. Rene wasnt perfect either,he got wrapped up in a few shady tournament tricks himself,however it dosent change who he was or what he did for our sport and alot of us on this site. I paid my hard earned money to enter the blacktip challenge,and i still forgive Mike Palmer. Just no tournaments for him!!!

Mike was a good friend to all of us but over the last year or so has stirred things up between us as friends something no one will ever understand set aside "the fishing" if you know what i mean...you wont see me fishing with him ever again...
