The only two piers in Dade county that still exist are the South Pointe park pier in Goverment Cut which is closed and slated for demolition to be replaced by a newer structure(sometime in the future 
)we just don't know when they'll actually put up the money for the demo and new construction .The other only pier on the ocean in Dade county is the Newport pier which was to be completed already but it seems there are problems between the owner DR Cornfeld and the Sunny Isles board of commisioners on how the cost of construction will be split.
