It took me over 15 years to go over the 20 pound mark but I finally did it, many mutton fishermen never get that lucky!!!
Twenty One and One Half - Mutton Snapper.
The fish before this fish was a 200lb. Lemon on a Saltist 50 with 40 lb. test and I whooped his azz.
This mutton was next and I can trully tell you that it kicked my AZZ.

Is the meat still anygood once they reach that 20-20lb mark? I know cuberas get kinda mushy when they are huge.

That is a hell of a fish there Art congrats, my biggest was 17 and a half pounds to see that is truly amazing again congrats!!

The one I caught when I was 15 year's old was 18 1/2 lbs. and that was 35 years ago. So don't feel bad about how long it took what counts is that you did it again and even BIGGER. Your right it's hard to pass the 20 lb. Mark. Congrat's again on a nice CATCH.
