How it all started was that we were actually fishing for sharks and ended up with this large tarpon, My friend and his family joined my wife and I on the fishing trip to the keys, We fished for two nights at the seven mile bridge for sharks but on the second day which was wed's the 23rd. My friend with his 12/0 & shark rod on 80lb. test hooked up and I thought it was a shark until it jumped out of the water then we all knew it was a big tarpon. We took measurements and pic's before the release. We estimated the fish to weight between 125-150 lbs.
