Went to the Inlet around 8am.
Hard winds from the north around 15mph
Massive waves breaking on the north jetty.

Nice and flat calm on my side, but further down south you could see
the monster 5-10ft waves rolling in.
Alot of guys and gals surfing it at reef rd. in Palm Beach.

There was two guys surfing the pump house with jetski's pulling them
into the massive 10ft waves it was awesome to watch.
But back to the report. :)

Driving up I knew it was going to be a great day to fish.
Dirty water big waves and good wind.

Got a X-Wrap rigged up and headed due east
to the jetty slime/sludge/slush section at the end.

Man, It looked perfect... And it was...

First cast got a nice 10lb jack.

Then second cast I get hit as soon as it hits the water.
Then next thing I know a wave comes out of the east and hits me...
I slide all the way to the edge of the jetty and I get pulled into the rocks with rod in hand. After getting beat up by barnicles, I climbed out and made sure nothing was broken or gone... like a toe missing or something crazy like that.
But I was ok and I still had a nice sized fish on my rod...
I was bleeding from knees and foot cuts, then I looked and
my handle on my 4 0 was gone and the star for my drag was bent.
So, I hand lined the fish in and it was another jack.
I walked back to put the two jacks by my gear and saw some ribbon fish
jumping on the top so I cast...
Sure enough ribbon fish.

I was all shook up from falling in so I decided to snapper fish it off.
Man even the snapper were there.

Afer catching 4 snapper I felt a bit better and looked to the end again
but this sea gul was eating so I watched him for a bit

Then I walked back out to the end.
I had to use my baitrunner 4500 with 25 mono.
My 4 0 was all tore up.
So I put the old faithful spoon on.

First cast big blue.
2nd cast Snook :D

Well This is what I ended up with.

So I packed up and off I went.

I'm going Sharking tomorrow, I have another report for you guys.
I'm going to soak these jacks and see what happens.
Have a good weekend guys and gals. ;)

That reminds me of "dos equis beer guy."

I don't usually fall in the rocks,
but when I do, I prefere to do it at the Palm Beach Jetty!

I was on the north side with similar surf the other day. Big waves for Florida. You are very lucky. You could of hit your head and been sucked out - game over. Guys up north are starting to wear those small life vest when the big waves roll in. I think its more common at night. They always wear their carbide cleats (korkers) to maintain a non slip footing.

Stay safe my fiend and nice fish!!!

I was thinking of bringing some bleach up and
make a nice walking path in the middle.

It has happend to me a few times.
It is a risk to fish out there at hightide and big waves.

I was thinking of the suction on the waves going over the jetty and
getting sucked under the rocks. Or another wave coming in after i'm
down there.

My uncle has slipped backwards hitting his head hard when
a wave hit him. He couldn't move a boat pulled up and asked if he was ok.
He couldn't even say he was ok.
They beached the boat and came to help him.
But at night your gone.

Reminds Me When You Use To Get To The End Of The South Beach Jetty. A Long Time Ago I Climb About 9/10 Of The Way Out. A Cruse Ship Was Going Out Of Goverment Cut And The Wake It Made WASHED ME OFF THE ROCKS! It Was Before Dawn And Still Dark (5:00am) I Think, And I Got Thrown Clear off The Jettys. How I Heid On To My Rod Only God Knows, But My Tackle Box And A Back Pack Floated Away. It Sucked Because My House Keys Were In The Bag :x

you did pretty good, but it looks like you're going to need one of those life-line buttons around your neck so you can press it and say "Help, I have fallen and cannot get up."

Just an average fisherman.
