Are the older Choas rods respectable? How do they rate compared to other brands? How much did they go for in the day and how much are they worth now?

The SHARK UNLIMITTED blank sold for $183 at Mudhole
The SHARK blank sold for $110 at Mudhole.

The Gator blanks hold up very well, Star rod used them for years, actually most star rods were the old Gator blanks.

I just received a SHARK UNLTD I ordered from mudhole. Beast of a blank. Couple things I don't like are the butt diameter is too big for any gimbal made. Do you guys know how to add one? I was just going to get a cheap blank and cut off a piece to expoxy inside the bottom of the blank, just enough to add a gimbal. Also it's spiraled.
