I have a Star Deluxe 81 Rod. It has a brass reel seat that I'm not sure will seat a 12/0. I would love to know if anybody else has this rod, or knows if a 12 will fit it. I want a 12/0, just to step up from a 9/0. If the 12 doesn't fit I will do with a 9/0

When I first got my 12/0 I stuck mine on a DLX35H with a 3ft dowl rod glassed into the inside of the butt, It just fit in the reel seat opened all the way up. I threw on all my clamps and was pretty happy with it till I got a more beefy stick. Im pretty sure yours should fit.
