Splicing 125# Bullbuster mono with 200# JB Hollow

Hi,

Is this possible? I recently did a Penn 12/0 with #100 Bullbuster mono spliced into 200# JB Hollow Core braid and it seemed to be a tight fit. It was done by a well known local tackle / fishing store. They seemed a bit hesitant due to the thickness of the BB mono.

I'm spooling up an 12/0 with 125# BB mono and trying to decide what braid I should go with, ideally 200# JB Hollow Core, it's just the #125 BB mono appears a bit thicker than the #100.

Let me know your thoughts, I wish I could find someone to do this with confidence and ease. Located in Melbourne, Florida.

Thanks,
Wade

I splice 200LB and 250LB LP into 200 JB hollow. the 125LB should be easy enough. The tackle shop should do it super cheap, thats how easy the the 125 should slip in there.

The 250LB LP is 1.6mm and is a bit tight, just takes a couple extra minutes but still simple enough after a couple tries.
