by the end of this tournament this shark is just going to be a number for the total amount, this shark dosent stand a chance on winning top five biggest.. we have toooooo many great fishermen here that will catch a bigger one than this . the fish that ernie polk, timmy t, william fundra,shannon Bustamante, jd fagan, luis picua, jd hammer, jimmy dean ect ect, catch are big enought to eat this hammer for lunch, so if any body is worried saying dam we dont have a chance against that hammer shouldent be fishing this tournament cause the winner of this tournament is going to be a 14 footer!!!!!!and 5th place will be around 12ft 5..

TEAM 'THE ONE' 8'3" LEMON Kenny Lineberry

THEN WE HAD OUR NIGHT CUT SHORT. BY A UNFORTUNATE MISHAP.
the long and the short of it is SAFETY FIRST!!! my team mate pulled one hook out of the fish leaving the front hook still in Mr. lemon as he shook his head and stuck the already removed 12/0 into my right foot. Now I am hooked to his mouth, with one hook in him and one in me. Luckily my wife had the sense of mind, even though she never messes with my gear, packed a good pair of wire cutters, I yelled for her to get them.Not knowing she was already on her way and swiftly back . Seemed like forever. In the mean time we were pinning that lemon to the sand to prevent excruciating pain of him jerking or BITTING!!! As I was hooked to him less than 6" from those razors he eats with. We cleared the line and were able to get all of the necessary pictures before making the rough walk up the beach with that 12/0 still in there . Then the drive to the ER... ER HAD TO CALL in the fire deparment to get equipment to cut the hook. All the paramedics stayed in the room just to watch even after their job was done. Apparently this does not happen very often. After everything was said and done, and the hook was barbarically removed. I was known to the staff as Captain hook, and all were very excited to see the pictures of the fish that hooked the fisherman.
The lemon was photographed, tagged, and released healthy.

Megalops and team short bus !! Nice bulls!!!! Great to have a new team!! One thing that will help your measurement is a big brighter measuring tape with visible foot marks!!! Home Depot has the roll out kind with 100 ft of tape!!! Another thing is try pulling the shark out a little more for a more clear visual on the tip of nose to the tip of tail. Nice catches!!
