They just keep getting bigger. Rob had a good run. One minute and 45 sec fight. 80lb test. Reel got hot so I had to water it twice. Got a nice 3ft sandbar. Too bad we forgot to take pics. It could have been in the running.

The hammer blew the center of the 14/0's side plate off the reel and shredder the main gear. There was no stopping this monster. I'll let Will finish the story.

were going to have to agree to disagree on this one - an avet 80w is machined from solid aluminum bar stock (just like wheels for cars) - while the senator is made up of various components including a product called bakelite (plastic basically) - any of the lever drag reels (avet-penn-shimano-duel-alutecnos.......) can generate and sustain a LOT more pressure than a senator ever could. this is NOT an attack on senators by any means - its just stating a fact that is real regardless of individual opinions.
