Heres a nurse coty steffani caught (age 16) .. on 60 lb test.. for what its worth.. 8ft.. off the pier (no worries we head roped him and he swam off nice!)

just a note all sharks are released seeming i heard someone say we had fwc issuse's on our site

got to long key bridge for the rene memorial with kevin david and george around 9pm.
Met up with Will, Shanon,Art, Aaron,Joey,Albert,JD hammer,Lui and everyone else.
Around 11pm the outgoing tide started so i put out my 4 rods all with whole bonitas.
Thankkkkkkkkkk godddddddddd for Will cause he fed all of us, he broght churrasco steak,
yellow rice and anything u could think of so the grubing began.After the food everyone
knocked out but around 6am my rod gets hit i run grab my rod and start screaming like crazy
because the line was under the bridge so kevin gets my line from the other side and Will grabs
my knife and cuts my line i reel my cut line from under the bridge and Will ties it back up
"i would have never thought of doing that, i have lost like five sharks cause they ran under
the bridge" i start bringin it in so we walk it to shore and take the pics. Will saved us 2 times,
once with the food and the shark so now i hope nobody catches a shark bigger than his.For a lil
insurance i called "el palerro" for a lil help

Way to go everyone.I know it's been tough the last three days with the wind steady blowing 15 -25 mph but you guys I see make the best of it like good troopers that you are.If the nurse sharks are there-you catch nurse sharks ,if the blacktips are in thick- you guys catch blacktips,if the sandbar sharks are in -you catch sandbars,,,,,the true mark of a good shark fisherman is consistency and adapting to any and all circumstances

The water has turned murky in many places that we fish because of the high winds but soon enough the winds will subside and there will be a window of opputunity the last 5 days of the tournament to "CATCH A MONSTER"it's up to you to recognize the window of opputunity that approaches and capitalize on it."WINNERS NEVER QUIT,AND QUITTERS NEVER WIN"
If you can't fish the beach because of high surf,then fish a jetty,a pier or a bridge.If you can't fish the ocean because the water is too murky then fish that river or intracoastal close to an inlet where the water is clean and the sharks can more easily pick up the baits scent.Adapt to all changes in the air,the water and the migration and movements of fish from one area to the next.
A good fisherman of any type learns to be a good observer and learns to interpret the suttle changes to catch more fish.
We want every land -based shark fisherman out there ,to learn the signs and become better shark hunters.There are signs right now ; like the tarpon are in (we've seen them everywhere) ,the water temp has gotten right,the spring rains have started,and once the wind slows down & water clears up --it's on again!!!

Just got a phone call from Jd Hammer he caught an 8 foot 10 inch pregnant bull shark this morning at one his favorite florida keys beach .JD was fishing by himself like he often does and had to have a passerby take the pics of him.The fish looks to be over 500 lbs.Jd's personal best for a female Bull shark.He was using a 60 amberjack carcass.WOW!!!! We can't say enough about this man and his dedication.

JD Hammer landed a world record type bull shark at 6am this morning on a beach in key west.
