SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Since the start of my participation on boatlessfishing.com I have been under attack by many different individuals and it's been a constant struggle to have to defend myself ,the shark club,my friends and even family members by people with malicious intentions.I have befriended people believing they were sincere friends only to have them turn on me and attempt to discredit and undermine the shark club and myself as an individual.The effort my wife and i have put into this sport ,this tournament,and boatlessfishing has been paid with slander,accusations,hatred and an envy.You can not imagine the countless hours that we have spent on this tournament and on the promotion of land based shark fishing;time that i should been dedicating to my wife and children neglecting them many times to put forth something that was honorable and done from my heart.I've felt the poison dart of malicious rumors spread by many not man enough to say things in my face like a real men.This same twisted person that hides behind a computer screen to do his dirty deeds has hacked into my own website and with proficient and malicious knowledge of the phpbb program inserted data into the https://www.southfloridasharkclub.com website to corrupt the files and create GENERAL ERROR problems which most of you have seen in my site that were inserted to cause harm a week before the start of this year's Big Hammer Challenge tournament.This same scumbag hacked into my private photobucket account violated my civil rights (Punishable by the Fed with prison time)and stole from wife and I things i will not even mention. The federal agency that handles intellectual computer crimes has been contacted and i can assure you they do have the capacity and the written laws to prosecute this person ;it is part of an ongoing investigation and affords me some sense of relief from those who choose to do me harm AMEN!!! RESSURECTION SUNDAY. Those who have tried to corrupt,sabotage and distort all my heartfelt work BEWARE I love and truly care about this sport and will fight forever for the right to defend it.Sad to say but I never in my life imagined that working so hard would bring me so much hatred and envy from people who are in the shadows and others who are in the open but misinformed,immature or just plainly uneducated enough to appreciate my true intentions on these pages and the pages of my own website .I pity you and your lack of heart and lack of good natured human spirit will carry you down forever.So much of humanity is lost and needs salvation from itself.

On the subject of the hammerhead the bottom line is I can't win for losing.If we release the shark and it floats up dead the next day like what happened in the 2007 Big Hammer Challenge we get attacked and bashed;even though it was released and we thought it had a good chance of surviving but it did not------as so often happens with hammerhead sharks.I run this tournament and hate controversy and conflict and try to avoid it at all cost

After the first Big Hammer Challenge in 2007 we learned a few things and it made no sense to keep rules that would create problems FOR ANYONE in the tournament.Shark fisherman know that hammerhead sharks die after a long sustained battle -i didn't create that, it's just the way it is.This tourney is after all called THE BIG HAMMER CHALLENGE so why would i disqualify an angler that catches a big hammerhead that dies,,,,,,,it totally defeats the purpose and the original intent of this tournament which was to catch BIG HAMMERS.So we eliminated that rule to be able to effectively run this tournament without the BS.Yes it is a catch and release tournament and i have had to viciously fight to push for conservation within the shark club and to stop the needless killing of sharks but hammerheads DO FIGHT TO THE FINISH!!!Why i chose to pick the hammerhead to represent our tournament it's obvioous they are the most magnificent and hard fighting of all sharks in the world.So I chose them they did'nt choose me and despite of my good intentions there nature will not change because of this tournament, they will continue to die sometimes thereby creating problems for me and the tourny.It comes with the territory and i am impassioned enough with this sport to continue with the big hammer challenge year after year regardless of those that are attempting continously to undermine it's success.What i can't tolerate is grown ass man that can't stand to lose and whine and bitch instead of fighting harder when the fight gets tough.If you are losing in this tourney or in life fight harder ,learn more and gain the skills it takes to become a champion.

Shannon's shark was caught and i was not there to be a eyewitness to what took place ,,,,,i would hope he made a diligent effort to revive it but in my opinion a big shark that is that hefty brought up on flats is that much more difficult to revive in skinny water.i vigorously defend those in the club and those not in the club as well; my integrity and my principles are not for sale or for the few that are close to me ,,,,,,,i will gladly defend any man or woman in this tourney whose catch is questioned regardless of who you are -if your shark dies and you can convince me that you made a DILLIGENT effort to release it you've met your obligations to everyone in the tournament and to me as the person in charge.Shannon Bustamante is a champion land-based shark fisherman and a MEMBER of the South Florida Shark Club and continues in the lead .This tournament is called A CHALLENGE so be a man and challenge yourself to catch a bigger shark and show some class under pressure.

THE COMMITTEE

I want to make it clear that i have decided to OVER RIDE the COMMITTEE'S DECISION for reasons i have stated before .This decision has been made by me SOLELY allthough there is a committee in place to vote on disputes i have taken it upon myself to veto there final vote.
I work alone on this tournament and know what the original intent of this tournament
has been since the begginning-"to catch the biggest baddest shark in Florida"you can read it on the tournament posters all over the state and that has been met in this tournament so far.All efforts were made to revive the shark but unfortunetly as often happens the hammerhead shark died .
Shannon Bustamante consulted me the night he caught the shark after it died and I IN ORDER TO AVOID CONTROVERSY SUGGESTED HE NOT ADMIT TO THE HAMMER'S DEATH TO AVOID CONTROVERSY.The release was attempted without success,,,,,,this does not constitute a deliberate killing of a shark in a "catch and release tournament"That the committee members don't feel compelled to believe that is there right.My right is to cast the final deciding vote.If i have disappointed the anglers that want badly to win THE BIG HAMMER CHALLENGE you can sit there and whine or you can prove that you have what it takes to take the lead by catching a bigger shark.Iwant it to be known that none of these COMMITTEE MEMBERS has agreed with my FINAL DECISION to retain Shannon Bustamante as the leader with his 12 ft 1 inch Hammerhead

2)Herbert Mueller of team HAMMERTIME nor
3) Mike Palmer of team OLDSKOOL
has agreed with my course of action. I WANT THAT TO BE VERY CLEAR

This is a fishing tournament and our goal is to catch the biggest sharks(particularly Big Hammers) that swim off the shores of Florida.It has always been our key goal AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE OUR REASON FOR HOLDING THE BIG HAMMER CHALLENGE.

As far as i'm concerned no will touch anyone in any harmful way because of this controversy so i hope no one feels threatened.That we are passionate about our sport is very true,,,,,,that we are a rough bunch is also true but that does not mean we will jeoperdize our freedom by hurting anyone.Catch a monster SHARK and if it dies i will also shake your hand and declare you the winner if you honestly made an attempt to release it.

You know what i am going on the record about a few of you guys here on this website such as Mike Palmer and his partners, The guys on team black Bart, a female angler (Mellisa) who i think is the top 15 land based shark fisherman year in and year out from what I have seen, and a few others i may be leaving out. Well anyways about the names i mentioned, you guys really stick out to me as the cream of the crop from my short stints browsing boatless.

I mean those 14ft hammers mike and them land from the beach are once in a lifetime fish, 99 percent of the anglersl who tell you they landed a 14ft hammerhead are lying, yet you guys really do the damn thing. I have always gave you guys the props you deserve cuz nobody outfishes you guys from west palm to melbourne!!!!

Team black bart, just check the last 3 land based tourneys and you will see how they won them all.

Now what i am getting at is, you guys i know and for some i assume have had trouble reviving some sharks, and especially (hammers)I personally tried releasing my two biggest hammers caught from a bridge, and i had no luck both times, hell for my smaller 10 footer it was dead before i even made it to the seawall.

This most recent hammer i caught , the 12 ft 2 was hooked 13 light poles out on long key, and fought 3 hours in between the electric poles against a ripping tide, then walked while still giving its last fight all the way to the shore which probably took another hour, by the time i got it around the seawall and into the flats,that shark was not going to make it, however i still hustled, had my teamate AAron bunche strip to his boxers and fly way out into the flats to make sure we could unhook her take the picture and measurement as fast as we could and somehow swim her back and forth and try to bring her to life and give her a strong chance of survival, which we did but to no prevail. I mean we took it to the extreme were we were so far out on long keys flats that you wouldn't see us from land!!!! I can proudly say me and my team did a flawless job of giving that shark a chance. Most anglers would have dragged that fish out of the water to get a better picture like (old skool ) and (black bart) respectively have the (luxury of doing) do to a faster battle with MUCH LESS TO NO CURRENT FROM THE BEACH, NO LOBSTER BUOYS TO HAVE THE SHARK TANGLED TO AND WEAR HER DOWN, NO LONG DISTANCE TO WALK TO BE ABLE TO REACH AND RELEASE HER, AND DEEP WATER ALL THE WAY UP TO THE SAND WERE YOUR PICTURE IS TAKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY DID I SAY THE FISH WAS RELEASED????

Because we truly did everything we could, and the majority of the anglers would have made a huge fuss over it, for the exact same reasons will explained (Lack of knowledge about hammers, and most importantly the vital difference in the hammers safe release between a hammer caught from a beach and one from a bridge) Also "Immaturity" I.E. the younger snappy kids on boatless,envy, and lastly it hurt me to see the fish die, and didn"t want to spread it around to those who are deeply hurt to see a marvelous fish like this die, i truly respect and admire all of those in this sport who fall into this category!!!

I also want to add that i have no ties to boatless, and could care less about the site or the administrators for lack of interest, and something very major i will add later!!!!

I also want to clarify that i only used Mike Palmer,team black bart, mellisa and the others as an example,
to help clarify my point, and as i mentioned i think they are some of the top dawgs on boatless and florida period.you guys are Excellent anglers who truly impress me with your catches!!!!

As for the individual in the boatless circle who had the nerve to hack another mans computer and search through his pictures is a lowlife chump, that is what 13 year old computer geeks do. Do you have a girlfriend dude? do you like girls? any family? or a hobby to kill time in between breaking federal laws and hacking peoples computers and pictures? What if you had some one looking at your wife naked or (some sicko which is what you sound like) checking out your kids!!!! You are scum for doing that stuff man thats low!!!!!!

When the police find this subject, he will be dealt with, after that karma will catch you, after that when it all trickles down to gossip and word gets to me about who you are, i would love for you to come fishing with me on the beach solo!!!! we will have a blast i promise!!! Miami style baby!!!!

i was there that night and every word of that story is true. we tried really hard to release that shark and you can also ask kiki who was there as well

Shannon, some of this I sent in a Personal Message to Will, but since you decided to tell the truth on here. Here it goes.

When I went to the previous SFSC meeting and I said to Will that I was a South Florida Shark Club friend I did really meant it. I saw that Will did want change and he proved it by releasing the 13’6” Tiger shark he caught in Bimini with us, this was the biggest shark he had ever caught to that point...Shannon you called me and asked me why I would put those pics in photo bucket? As I said “No, I did NOT!” Man, I was fishing hard all week. Some one Will trusted did that. A boatless.com person? No man not necessarily, some one Wil put as an admin or someone he gave his photo bucket account information to must have done that (easy to tell by the authorities). Perhaps some one from your own club that had to put a shark up, I don't know...I know Tom, and can personally tell you that he loves freedom of speech even if you are straight up talking about him...All I know is I had placed my name out there for Will and your club and you all failed me with this situation...Like I told you Shannon, all you needed to do is say the truth " I caught a great shark and it died" but the lie is what killed all of this, Will’s pic with the shark told the truth. Those with Adobe Photo Shop can see the properties of the pictures and can see that the shark was caught at 10:03 p.m. on April 3rd and pictures were taken on a Samsun L100,M100 and the pics with the dead shark were taken the very next morning at 8 in the morning at the fish market with a Canon Power Shot A620 camera on April 4th....

As I spoke with the Paxtons I told them that the shark counted for your Triple Crown, it is a great catch, as the matter of fact it is an awesome catch from the bridges but it should not count for the shark and release tourney.....THIS WILL HURT YOU on the long run.

Shannon, you are a proven man by telling the truth! Your shark counts for the Triple Crown, now all you have to do is withdraw the shark from this tourney and go catch a bigger one than the one that Team APEX got. You and your team can do it.

You Guys are on your own try to convince the world of what you are not.....NO, I am not as computer savvy as to have the password to do the damage to you. The photo thing anyone would know it it's just that you guys just got into the computer thing and are just learning it. Many tourneys have gone by and all know how to read the properties of a photo, If you don't then you are a newbie of computers, you can't fool the world at what you do. I did really believed Will, I have now seeing the light. You are as you were.

So far the tournament has been great and in my opinion you have done a top notch job organizing it and promoting it. It is a shame that there is some jackass out there that is hacking into your computer files. I hope you find out who it is and make them pay. We all know that when you fish, sometimes fish are gut hooked and die or just run out of energy and cant be revived. Thats just the way it goes and there's nothing anybody can do about it but try their best to revive the fish as best then can. I hope to see some more monsters caught in the next few weeks. Thanks so much for your efforts in getting the tournament set up and promoting it. I have had a great time fishing it so far and will be back in town next weekend to wet some lines.
