FORMAL COMPLAINTS & THE BHC TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE

*We have set up a system to deal with Valid Complaints that ANY PAID ANGLER fishing the Big Hammer Challenge can file to dispute a catch during the 4 weeks of the Tournament.
*No Formal Complains will be accepted after the Tournament has ended.
*IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE WITNESSED A VIOLATION AND WANT TO PROTEST A CATCH -YOU MUST WRITE YOUR COMPLAINT DOWN and Email it to us or PM us on this site's forum...Email info@southfloridasharkclub.com
*NO COMPLAINT WILL BE CONSIDERED AND BROUGHT TO THE COMMITTEE UNLESS IT IT FORMALLY FILED IN WRITING AND SENT US-email or Private message
*Your complaints must have Validity and Proof.
*There must be clear Evidence that a Rule has been broken.
SOME REASONS TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT
*If an angler releases a shark and it ends up dead on the beach the next day it is not grounds for DISQUALIFICATION -if the angler did everything in his power to SAFELY REVIVE and RELEASE THE SHARK
*AN ANGLER MANIPULATING THE MEASURING TAPE TO MAKE A SHARK SEEM LARGER
*A REQUIRED PICTURE BEING MANIPULATED OR PHOTO SHOPPED
*BLATANT DISREGARD FOR SHARKS HEALTH SUCH AS A GAFFED SHARK,A SHARK LEFT TO DIE ON A BEACH
*AN ANGLER CHEATING BY ENTERING SHARKS CAUGHT ON HEAVY LINE ON THE 3 LINE CLASS CATEGORIES (Spinning,50lb and 80 lb)
*AN ANGLER OR TEAM PURPOSELY KILLING SHARKS
*SOMEONE NOT IN THE TOURNAMENT CATCHING A SHARK FOR A REGISTERED/PAID BHC PARTICPANT
*MORE THEN ONE PERSON FIGHTING A SHARK
We don't want a Formal Complaint filed based on rumors or gripes initiated by sour anglers who are maliciously trying to DEFAME another angler or a complete Team.
Down below please read the system in place to deal with these issues
PLEASE IF YOU WANT TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO COME BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT WHAT YOU ARE CLAIMING IS VALID AND A CLEAR VIOLATION OF THE BIG HAMMER CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT RULES .PLEASE TYPE "FORMAL COMPLAINT" AT THE TOP OF YOUR PM TO ME , ALSO WRITE THE SHARK OR FISH THAT YOU ARE CONTESTING,THE PAGE OF THE BHC LEADER BOARD THAT THE SHARK APPEARS ON,DATE IT AND WRITE YOUR NAME AND TELEPHONE NUMBER AND I WILL REVIEW THE COMPLAINT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. IF I CANNOT RESOLVE THE MATTER QUICKLY THEN I WILL PRESENT THIS COMPLAINT TO THE 5 MAN PANEL AND WE WILL VOTE ON IT.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS YOU CAN CALL ME (WILL) ON MY CEL AT ANY TIME 786-797-5712
We ask you that you respect the integrity of the BHC tournament and that any Formal Complaint be via a PM(private message). We would ask you to be courteous to other anglers in the BHC Tournament by keeping this complaint private and off the site Forum .This tournament is viewed by thousands of people during the BHC every year and we try and keep the negative commentary off the Forum to ensure a degree of respect and professional behavior among tournament anglers. As Tournament director I have the unsavory job of having to review each complaint sent our way and then to make a determination of it's veracity.Make sure your complaint is valid and we will review it as quickly as possible and send you a response quickly. If the Complaint cannot be quickly resolved then we will go to a Tournament Committee vote. The findings will be FINAL.
Before you file a Formal Complaint Please make sure you clearly understand the BHC Rules and there intent. Make sure your statement of Complaint is accurate and that the Violation is a flagrant disregard of the tournament rules.Look closely at the pictures in question and make sure there is clear Violation of Rules or attempt to cheat before filing your complaint. We will not disqualify a catch solely based on a rumor although we will look into every Formally Filed Complaint rumors must come with evidence.
Many times conditions on the fishing arena are less then favorable and taking Perfect Pictures may not be possible and the results are less then clear pics.As is the case many times the Team in question was shorthanded while struggling with a thrashing shark on a sloped shoreline with crashing waves on the shark and angler as the cameraman is attempting to take ALL the REQUIRED PICTURES. We will make every attempt to clarify every catch that is disputed and discard Complaints that have no merit but if we detect an underhanded attempt to purposely deceive or cheat then we will take all proper steps to DISQUALIFY the Catch ,the Angler or the entire Team.
2013 BHC TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
