POSTPONED TIL 2012
This year(2011) during the 30 day Big Hammer Challenge we are going to have the first ever 24 hour statewide internet based BOAT catch and release shark tournament (FLORIDA MONSTER SHARK CHALLENGE).We are in the planning stages but moving along quickly with ideas to make this tournament a success.A success would mean a big turnout of at least 30 teams competing throughout the state.
Our plan is to recruit the best shark fisherman and boat captains from around the state to fish in this first ever state wide boat shark fishing tournament.We would like to see the best from around the state representing there area.

There are many more port cities that can be represented but these are from the top of my head.Many captains have expressed an interest in fishing this tournament including Capt Ron Schatman (Miami)and Capt Bucky Dennis the existing Hammerhead World Record holder.There are many other captains and anglers that we will be contacting in the coming weeks. This tournament will an opputunity to showcase the best teams,the anglers and the best captains from around Florida.Each team will have to abide by strict rules including REQUIRED PICTURES and SECRET ITEMS.
$10,000 TOP PRIZE
Top Prize $10,000 to the team that catches the biggest shark in the 24 hour tournament (based on atlest 10 teams competing).Any and all proceeds collected above and beyond the $10,000 big payout will go to the SFSC's "REBUILD HAULOVER PIER FUND.Entry fee will be $1000 per team .

Any chance you could throw little ole Hilton Head, SC in the mix?
Delayed til 2012 .These sort of tourneys take alot of planning and hard work and we're just not ready this year but I wish i could do the whole eastern seaboard if we had enough interest I would possibly.
