BHC 2015 Reciepts,,,,,for all who think i made money

I am providing a copy here of some of the major reciepts of the 2015 Big hammer Challenge. They don't include the $745 I spent at Bass Pro Shops for 29 -$25 GIFT CERTIFICATES. The T shirts alone to start this tournament cost over $2000 .Then we have printing jobs for posters, registration forms, BHC cups, food and drinks for the Angler/Captains meeting both west coast and east coast.Trophies, prizes etec, etc, etc. If anyone tinks it's simple to put together one of these tournaments they are fooling themselves -it takes resources and an understanding what needs to be done and at what time prior to the start date of the actual Tournament. We fell short of the anticipated 300 anglers by almost half with 175 anglers in 45 Teams, BUT we still kept the Cash prizes as close to the original amounts as possible and that meant coming out of pocket at a loss in the final tally.I will stand to be called a thief ,what I do for the land-based shark fishing community I do from my heart not for any monetary gain and I dare anyone who thinks that I somehow benefitted from the 2015 BHC or ANY BHC EVER. It would be an incredible relief to me and my wife to see someone else do what we do and spend what we spend to make this happen.I hope you all enjoyed the best land-based shark tournament of all tImes "THE 2015 BIG HAMMER CHALLENGE" . Thank you once again for the opportunity.
Sincerely
William Fundora -BHC Founder

RIGHT THERE IS $7571 DOLLARS IN EXPENSES PLUS THE $745 BASS PRO SHOPS GIFT CERTICFICATES = $8316 .00 WITHOUT THE COST OF THE AWARDS PARTY FOOD THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR TODAY SAT MAY 16TH,2015 AND WITHOUT OTHER COST.DO THE MATH GENTLEMEN $17500 COLLECTED minus $14300 IN CASH PRIZES GIVEN OUT LEAVES $3200 .I have RECIEPTS FOR $ 8316 so,,,,,,,$8316 minus the $3200 surplus from the total collected puts us in the red $5116,not counting the cost of tomorrows food and drinks.

Great post Will.I don,t think many of these guys can relate to the cost, arrangements and your time put in to run a tournament like this.Hopefully some of these guys will change their thinking and ways going forward for the better.Like I,ve said before I wish I lived closer so I could help out with one or two of these projects ........Dave

Just my opinion, but I think Will should have been paid for all this work. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but if anyone is going to bust their ass this much, they should have SOMETHING to show for it. And don't tell me "for the love of the sport", that isn't going to fly. Would you go into your job to bust your ass, get yelled at by your boss (or competitors, in this instance), spend time away from your family AND THEN HAVE TO PAY THEM FOR THE EXPERIENCE?

Why would anyone in their right mind run a world class tournament in 4 states and not hope to profit some how? Seeing that he lost money on this deal sucks. I'd be discouraged too.
