New for 2017 and because the some of the best shark hunters in Australia have requested the chance to prove themselves-anglers from Australia will now compete in the 2017 Big Hammer Challenge Shark Tournament. We welcome the opportunity to showcase the best of Australia vs the best of the United States although many think that US anglers don't stand a chance against Australian shark fishermen who have thousands of shark infested shorelines to choose from we are honored to be the first ever website to host a multi nation shark fishing Tournament. It has been a personal dream of mine since childhood to fish for sharks in Australia and this is a culmination of those dreams and my passion for the sport of land-based shark fishing. We are very excited to welcome all the Aussie anglers that will be competing in the 2017 Big Hammer Challenge.

I won't be competing in the comp as I don't have the time at the moment, which is a shame as.

I do find it funny reading the statement of "Australian shark fishermen who have thousands of shark infested shorelines to choose from" because it isn't really like that. I really can't see the difference in the shark fishing in Australia and the US from all the beaches I have seen and read about reading years of reports on forums like this. So don't feel like Australia is going to take it out easily, especially as there's probably only going to be a few people over here competing.

Anyway, all the best to everyone competing!
