Hey everyone we just want to remind everyone fishing this tournament to please put Safety FIRST.No competition in the world is worth losing your life over so please practice your sport in a safe manner.
SAFETY IS THE #1 PRIORITY
1)Always let someone at home know where you will be fishing and when you will be back.
2)Always wear a life vest when deploying your baits.A rough surf can drown even the best of swimmers so don't try and be superman out there.A kayak slamming into your head can render you unconscious and dead quickly so always wear your life vest.
3)Always fish in teams with groups of at least 2 or 3 buddies in that way someone can always help you if you get in some kind of trouble.
4)Always leave one Team mate on watch while the others sleep.Strange people wander the beaches at night so always stay alert and ready for any circumstance.
5)Try and always have a cel phone in your group .The cel phone should have enough charge to last the entire night.If you have an emergency situation you can call the authorities right away.
6)Always respect the local laws of each beach you plan on fishing-don't get arrested for tresspassing.
7)Always park your vehicles in areas that have good lighting-don't become a victim of thieves.
8)Always have a good supply of drinking water on hand.
9)Always use sun block to protect yourself from the damaging rays of the sun
10)Always be careful where you leave your knives and your hooks.A deep gash or a hook through your foot can end your participation in a quick way.
