Mark your response to this guys BS is exactly why you deserve the catch you made. Your ability to be grateful and humble at the same time shows great maturity for your age. You have my respect and encouragement in your future adventures. I am grateful to share this wonderful sport with a true gentleman like yourself. Thank you.

Hey, you may think that you were the first anglers to ever fish this spot, but JD Hammer, Jerry, and others have been fishing the same exact area since the 1960's!!!! I support bullbuster monofilament and their team of great fishermen like yourself. All their positiveness on the shark fishing community has inspired me and I am grateful for such a nice catch but, I am very surprised that you couldn't be a little more mature when posting on a public forum, I try to keep this forum nice and not like other forums of fishermen arguing about small things, sometimes it's nice to share, I would take you to my best fishing spots if you just asked me with out any problems, sorry if I angered you. But I am not sure if I appreciate you trying to bully or boss me around, I am just a fellow fisherman and hope you may be able to understand after you have cooled down a bit. Good luck and I hope you get a big one too.

Thanks for the kind words, I think Zack is just a little jealous, he'll cool down and make amends in a while probably, I can understand why he's angry, but I don't agree with it.

That funny how people claim spots as if they pay rent or something. Ill tell you what i hear a lot of people fishing spots that i use to fish when i was in high school (Miami Beach Sr. High) back in late 80's and thats from the keys, key biscayne, south beach and many spots north. For someone to be jealous of you fishing their so called spot is childish and is un called for. There are so many places that i fish that im sure people on this forum fish all the time and that is great bc you know why we are losing fishing spots everyday. But anyways congrats mark on your catch bc if you didnt catch it there someone else would have. More power to you man keep it up!!!!

You sound like a jealous little bitch. Your bait guy? Lol. Man I was getting bait from Capt ( not going to mention his name on here ) while you were still going through puberty. Mark props to you. You caught the beast and that's that. Not cool at all from you guys. You just created a whole bunch of enemies due to your jealousy. Awesome catch Mark!!!!!!

I want to clear something up. The words I used were a bit out of line. I have nothing against Team Bullbuster and it's members with the exception of Zach's negative comments and bashing of Mark's catch which was completely un called for. I hope you regain your thoughts and realize what Mark has accomplished!

Thanks again everybody for all the comments, I have tried hard to keep up with questions and kind words for the most part and post but I can't reply to everyone, I'm only one guy. But thanks a lot everyone. I appreciate it all. I'm glad I have a strong shark fishing club backing me up on this one.

HUGE congratulations, man. That's the fish of a lifetime.

And your attitude in the face of that whiny hater is to be commended.

I wish i had Mark's cool demeanor but I don't, I have very little tolerance for bs and jealous people. If everyone unsderstood how hard Mark and many like him on this site work to tangle with big fish they would better understand the sacrifice and determination it takes to make a catch such as this. While most were home watching the SuperBowl Mark and Dan were out in the field trying to catch big sharks. At the SFSC this is what we do ,we are fierce competitors and relentless in our pursuit of big sharks .From early on we learned to travel to fish for sharks be it on the east coast ,west coast, or even panhandle in the last several years, wherever the sharks are we go.In over 40 years of shark fishing Florida we accumulated spots that some may never even imagine are fished and it is done through trial and error many times we have been threatened with arrest in some of the spots we have to be creative to gain access .Here in Miami we live surrounded by a concrete jungle so it is not always easy to be surrounded by frolicking tourist as we try and fish very carefully without disturbing anyone staying low key.Cops quick to threaten arrest just for one's desire to fish defend the rights of the rich beach condo owners and we are made to feel like second hand cirtizens. The amount of spots given away and the techniques and styles taught by the elders in this club over the years cannot be quantified so it angers me personally when I see hateful behaviour towards a youngsters accomplishments. We congratulate others who catch big sharks ,we spread the love and share the passion -we do not bash-we do not hate. This sport is at a crossroads and cannot afford to have disunity and infighting so we hold a high regard for our anglers and promote the sport to preserve it in very dangerous times. We have seen Mark develop into a fine young angler under the tuteledge of Jd Hammer and he is as humble and mild mannered a young man as there are today --he worked hard for this fish and deserves accolades and our respect and I cannot allow one jealous person's anger to detract from what Mark accomplised, a tremendous Catch that may not be equaled for a very long time.

For thous who hate the catch - wake up - it's not ONLY about the spot -its about being at the right time in the right moment with the right tackle and the right bait. Many variables right? He had them all RIGHT - less the HATERS!

We fished that spot in as low key and respectful a way as was possible - we didn't upset security, we had a chat with them and they watched us bring the shark in. We picked up our trash and left the beach cleaner than we found it. In no way have we spoiled it for anyone else. Earlier in the day we fished another hotspot shoulder to shoulder with a separate party of other Miami SFSC members in a very small space and there was no jealousy or ill will about 'ownership' of the spot. Far from it. Anyway, Mark it was a pleasure and an honor to help you land that shark and we both worked our asses off to get it in and released safely. We were the only ones out fishing that spot on that day and we deserved that fish.
