trip to Marco island

Early in June I loaded the family and the in-laws to go to Marco and have lots of swimming and eating, ughhh. In the little time I got to fish I landed three nice tarpon. Whole small jack for bait. Here is one pic of the second one. I'll get more up when I get home from this trip to longboat key.

I was there the first week in August. Fishing was awful. Fished about 20 hours. Had two bites on my shark real, but no hookups. Caught like 20 catfish. I did see two nice sized bonnetheads landed though. It was hard dodging the thunderstorms.

REALLY? Why post up such a highly illegal picture in a public forum? In case you don't know, those are a catch and release only species as of 9/1/13 bud..unless you are going for an IGFA record, and I think you need the tail half of the fish to qualify plus a much bigger tarpon..and the attached tag. Let us know how the visit from FWC goes

Wth kind of sleeper account is this?

And you use this pic as your avatar? Now I'm confused, I don't know whether to be pissed or to laugh this is so stupid. Only in 'Murica..

I Never said I kept the tarpon! I released them as soon as I could. No need to freak out and you can stick your insults in your butt.

That looks like a BIG fish!

Get the other pics up.

This pic doesn't look highly illegal, in a few more seconds it looks like the water would have rolled on shore and the fish would not be completely out of the water. The FWC probably has other things to worry about.

Thank you.^^^^ i was fishing alone and only brought the fish up far enough to unhook without fighting it to death. All fish were released unharmed.
