The mako and the media.
Hello everyone. I'll start with an apology for drawing heat to us all. We tried to keep it awAy from all the media.By the time it was loaded the sun was up and some one got a pic while Joey was pumping gas. We like late reports and privacy. Social media got us. So one of the news guys said it was gonna air with or without us. They can make a story up and work against us or I can help out. So I figured I'd try to point things in the right direction. Surprising enough the reporters stuck to there word and spoke of our sport in a positive light.

No reason to apologize. Thats a bad ass catch and worth all the publicity (bad or good). And honestly, I have to question the intelligence of anyone who criticizes me for keeping an awesome edible species. Congrats on the catch and live it up!

Walking on air for such an Incredibly Huge Catch ,,apologize for what? They have no idea how hard we work to make these type catches so let the naysayers talk smack and y'all keep catching record fish.

Your catch is now on the front page news scroller of yahoo i just hope that being on yahoo the story doesn't bring more heat down on us even though the artical says that the shark was spent and would not have survived if released but great catch and you guys did the right thing by taking to be processed instead of leaving it to wash up dead on the beach in a few days/hours when it dies
Got to hand it to you man. Awesome MAKO. Wow and on a 20lb King No Less. Incredible feat. At least three major news broadcasting stations featured your catch in a positive light. WOW. Ill bet that Mako was some really good eating. Is your reel still good after those crazy runs? Once again epic. Thanks for sharing your post.
