Sharkin' the Southwest Coast...
Here's a few fishing pictures, most of them are from May-June. I resized all of them to the same size..however I don't think all the pictures came out all the same size so some may not fit..it is what it is..

No consolation for the devilish beast I hooked and lost to a cutoff earlier in the evening but helped me avoid a skunk

7’4” bull on the tld 25, nice fight

9’ solo lemon while fishing for a 10’ solo hammer

Killin’ time til the shark rods go off

A pretty Spanish mackerel

Another snook

Speck

Where they at?

Right before the rod went off

5 and a half to 6 ft blacktip I got on a 15 lb bait..how did that happen?

What’s gonna eat it? A monster or a lil mutt?

Nobody should ever have to pay for bait, once you get a cast net

One of my favorite beaches

Joel’s nice snook

BT

Pretty sky

Solo blacktip, I hooked and lost to a hangup probably the biggest shark of my life earlier that night and ended up burning the side of my knee on the star drag

A 7’ gummer

6’1” spinner

Small lemon

Leadering a blacktip

A decent bull

7’4” lemon, my consolation for loosing yet another incredibly massive shark earlier in the night to a broken shock leader

Personal best redfish, about a 25 pounder

Caught on 12# spinning gear..many sharks were served a fresh breakfast and none of this creature went to waste

This is for Scout

Nice snook Joel, bad picture by me

They should turn on any minute now

Decent bull

My new buddy

Rough surf for this coast..ain’t nothin’ like free-swimmin’ the bait out off a jetty. That is how I got into sharkin’

???

These birds are not very shy

Solo blacktip, learning to use my timer

A nice lunker

First shark of my career with a tail rope on

Early morning lemon shark
Thank you for viewing..the quest for a monster continues, and I will do it in my home town.
jon i got to be honest - there are fishermen out there that have caught larger sharks but very very few that i am more impressed with as a fisherman - you have hooked a lot of really nice fish and you have done it with the vision that i have had since day one in this sport - you have utilized the gear that you have had - you have adapted to whatever circumstance has arisen - you have had a lot of fun. in my personal opinion i would call you a "master fisherman and master sharker" because you have been able to enjoy it all. some guys get so hung up on the beast and the biggest that they lose sight of all the fun that can be had with the fish under 10' and that to me is a real shame and a real waste. i am personally very proud of you and of all of your accomplishments. none of those fish would have been any fun on a 12/0 or 80w or whatever but i know for a fact you had a blast catching them on the gear you are using. i sincerely hope while all of the memories are fresh in your mind that you are documenting these accomplishments somewhere for yourself - you will look back one day when you are a much older man and be able to share them with some new young guy that sets his mind to pursue these amazing fish - congratulations to you and best of luck in all of your future adventures !!!!!!!!!!
careful with those snook cause they changed the law its now an felony and instant arrest if you get caught with an ill eagle one an there still closed in sw fl
I know..I've successfully released every snook I've caught, I don't even keep them when season is open.
