Headed out to the pier with no bait except half of a small mackerel. didnt catch any bait for hours until someone else fishing caught a nice mangrove snapper and gave it to us. i kayaked it out and went out to catch more bait. the rod must have ran 4 times before we actually hooked a fish. i could tell the water was so full of blacktips that night by the distinct blacktip runs every 20 to 40 minutes on all of our rods. we could have easily caught ten sharks that night if we had more bait. about half an hour passes when the 9/0 starts screamin and my buddy sets the hook. we finally caught a shark that night. wasnt anything impressive. but it was my friends first shark so he he was happy.

Nice catch!!!! Is that you in the last pic? I am no Mr Know it all but take this advice for your own good. If it is you in the the last pic, you need to be very careful. That Shark could easily take a swipe at you right there and get you bad. Not saying that you don't, but always respect the Shark and never let your guard down or think they are down and out. That's when they'll get you. Just don't want to see you or anyone get hurt. Nice Black Tip!!!!!

oh ya ive had my share of injuries. the only reason i took that pic like that was because she was so weak at the time, but i revived her back to health and she swam away strong. But ya you never know when theyre going to turn around and bite, thanks for lookin out.

The first is always exciting...no matter the size of the shark. I bet he had a great time landing it.
