Finally got my first shark on the West Coast since my move. Went out with Trevor (Midnight Dreamin) and his friend Nick. We spent the morning getting rays and got a nice 25 pound mudray. We quartered it up and put out 3 rods. 14/0 and 12/0 deep and the 80W short. 5 hours later, the 80W got picked up and took off like a bat out of hell. Let him eat and threw it to strike to set the circle. Rod about got yanked into the water (need to go less drag next time). Put the reel in low gear and yanked him.
Turned out to be a 9' Bull. Finally got my first one. Wasn't a fat shark, but big nonetheless.

Definately a nice fish man and I'm glad I could finally get you on one of our west coast bulls. Lookin forward to the next time we go out.

Nice bull boy - keep it going like that. I'm glad you finally decided to use circles. I bet the fight was more healthy on this type of hook then using J hooks, as we all know already from past experiences.
