Never use undersized hooks

First fish of the day (setup penn Spinfisher 850 with 80 lb samari braid on a 11 foot ugly stick)

Maybe 80 pound Batray

My best shark to date, could have been a world record to

Best Batray to date, pushing 120 lb, make a couple of nice baits don't you think?

A little southern California leopard shark

The biggest bait I have ever used in California, might be able catch a Cuda in Florida

Shovelnose Guitarfish, over the world record in weight

Big Leopard shark teeth

Excellent non-Florida report, probably the best I've seen yet. Wow those bat rays are huge, do those jaguar sharks pull drag? ...reminds me of a lemon shark.

Just an average fisherman.

On 80 lb with about 15 lb drag they will have a few runs, but will be to the beach in under 3 minutes (I cast from shore so the bait is only out about 100 yards), the big batrays are another story, they can get above 200 lb and the 120 pounder fought for a good half hour and almost spooled me.

I really want to target the Leopard sharks from a kayak with 10 or 15 pound line, that would be a fun fight :)

Great pics, makes me homesick! There are some pretty big Seven Gill sharks out there too. Throw a chunk of Ray out by the San Mateo bridge, a big one was caught there a few years ago a little over 7'. Good luck!

I have never tried for seven gills, just because I don't know where they are (I heard deep water, and that is hard to come by from shore hear). But I will defiantly give it a try and report once I do.

Thanks

Ft Point Pier is a spot with deep water, but the current is a killer. Would be a good spot though, and you can get some Dungie's while you are waiting for your drag to scream!!!
