7 mile never fails

Well started out the day yesterday at channel 2 set my shark rod out and proceeded to catch bait for the night ended up with a couple of macks and some keeper grovers for the frying pan. I got a call from JD fagan and he said he saw me fishing as he was going to his spot. as i went to go get bait from the local marinas i saw him and finally met the legend JD Hammer he was really nice and even offered to take my baits out for me, Sadly i refused and proceeded to 7 mile for the night as I was walking out looking for rays it was already 8pm but i saw something else a nice pod of big snook cast my jig it took one time for it to hit the bottom and i had a nice and fat 32'' snook on. I landed him snapped some pics and let him go and by the time i got him up the rays left and it was dark. I have never seen so many 14 0's in one spot in my life and they were all in the spot where I usually set up my rods but I knew they were a part of the BHC and didn't want to get into that mess so i set up where i never had before and waited for the tide to change and at 11 when it switched and started going to the new bridge i put my baits out and waited. 11:30 i get my first hit it took some line and dropped it as i was tightening my drag the reel stats peeling off line set up on him and then fight was on he was already wrapped around a piling but i got him out and walked him down( big thanks to the guy fishing next to me never got his name but helped me walk it down because my dad has a bad back) a healthy 6' 11'' lemon.I also met seawolf and he was surprised that I was the only one that caught a shark on the bridge with the amount of shark rods set out, but a nice guy. I continued fishing and got my limit on grovers with 2 of them coming in at 17in. Overall my solo trip that started off terribly turned into a success with my first bridge shark (other than a nurse).

Great job soviet sharker 305, next time don't shy away, any member of the south florida shark club is a brother of mine and can fish along side of us any time they wish. keep up the good work and watch out for 9' lemons and 10' tigers that hang around the 7 mile bridge.
