After fishing the first two days of the BTC with rough conditions and not being able to paddle baits out with our small kayak my team and i pretty much just casted for tippers and whatever else. Then finally caught a break with the surf after the wind shifted to a west wind and the water was flat on friday night i met up with the other teams all fishing the same beach. With many small hits that i knew about no one hooked up with anything. Woke up around 4am packed up my gear and headed back north to meet one of my teamates. We set up before daybreak on sat morning and waited all day. Caught one nurse and a couple small runs nothing else. By this time it was getting dark so we went back to the truck and picked up four baits for the four rods. We kayaked the four baits out just before dark and at 10:10 pm just a little less than 2hrs left in the tourney the 14/0 starts screaming and after a nice strong fight we landed this nice 9'6" hammerhead!!!!!!!

Great job on landing a hammer like that. Especially when we have this new law in place "watching us" more closely when these beauties hit the shore line. I can't wait to hook into one of thous hammers again.
