Joe Clausel 11 ft 2 inch Hammerhead

Joe Clausel is a dedicated local shark hunter and SFSC member who over the last several years has won many categories in our annual tournament.His work ethic is unmatched,Joe fishes often and hard; and for the last three years no one in the club has caught more sharks during the year then Joe Clausel.Many of us in the club have been watching his progress and we sensed that he would catch a big Hammer in our old stomping grounds of South Beach ,,and he did it.Congratulations Joe and keep up the good work.

Thank you Willie....... its been a long run for me the last two years but against all odds still i rise.....this year i got to hold it down for my team........

JD FAGAN 11 ft 2 inch Hammerhead Shark

'went out the other night with Luis and his son chiqui too do some fishing and when we met up at the spot there was so much grass we couldent even fish so we decided to check another spot and to are surprise it had barely any grass. we met up around 7:30 and dident even get baits out until close to 10:00 what a mission it is some time but its what we love and are very passionate about. soo we have 4 baits in the water and within 2 hours or so both my baits were wiped out one due too something small messing with the bait and my other bait got cutoff and I lost a lot off line. so I rig up and yak out my third bait for the night. about 45 minutes go by and my 80 gets picked up solid, free spooled it then I hit the running man. I knew it was a nice fish and then after it started pulling me back to the beach and I sat down I really knew it was a big fish. sure enough I forgot my harness this trip and I was in for a heck of a battle. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP BROTHER! I couldn't have done it without you and chiqui!'

"Got out on the sand about two weeks ago and landed these 2 tigers. mine was 9ft even and I believe hammers was 9ft 4inch but his had a lot more weight on it and fought really good"

"Thursday we spent the day between seven mile and long key with shark baits out and every trick in the book to catch more shark bait and again, no luck. A guy gave us a small yellow jack. Max's girl arrived at Long Key and the tide switched. That night we headed to Big Pine and I set up two of our lighter shark rods with baits. We had action the entire night.The first hit my rod, I set hook and it jumped way out of the water and burned some good drag".

Mark Resto has been making some excellent catches of big sharks the last several year's and 2014 has been an exceptional one for him having won the BULLBUSTER LINE "Sharker Of the Month' twice.A big congratulations to Mark for this massive Bull Shark his biggest ever at 9 foot.
