12/0 tried to go bye bye!!
First night. Went out and got stocked up on fresh rays during the day for the long night ahead. Took off work so I could fish with some friends for a full night. So I went out with tbone and met up with my brother. Original spot was way to wavy and rough so we packed up and headed to another spot. Unpacked and dragged the lines out in much nicer conditions. Not to long before the 9/0 goes off and my brother got himself this 6'2" bull.

Later on my 12/0 gets a good bite on it. Its another bull and I knew this one was a bit bigger. I was excited because it was my first one ever. Taped out at 7'.

The last shark of the night was a 7'3" lemon on the 9/0 again. Tbone worked this guy in and he was a fatty.

Great night overall especially because we got to try out are new cheap belt and harness setup. Worked great for us.

Praise the lord!! No hands. lol

Night two. Just me and my bro decided to hit the sand. Water was rough but I really wanted to fish again. Only had one mackeral to use so I decided to tread rough seas. Of course pulling it out I get flipped on my yak. I might need to get something bigger lol. At least I dropped the bait right before it happened as if I knew it was coming. Managed to get back to the sand safely. About 30 minutes goes by and I ask my brother to go check on the rod, only to find it laying face down on the waters edge with this behind it.......

Sooooo close to losing my rod. Thankfully I asked him to check it at that exact moment.
This was the culprit. Anything bigger and my rod would be a wreck somewhere. Didn't care to measure.

All in all crazy times and lessons learned. I guess that's what the sports all about. I love it!!

Very nice bunch of springtime toothy's. I woke up once after a storm to find both my 12/0 washed away into the raging storm.I ran like a maniac up and down the beach thinkibg someone had walked away with my precious Penn Senators.Next day I miraculously snagged the lines the reels were attached to,,,,I lucked out and the reels got a major cleaning and new drag washers.
