Yep cudas are great bait, my go-to bait if I want a guaranteed hit in the Keys is a nice fresh eel floating on the surface.

Hey Luis thanks for the nice report and pics of your son with his first cuda.

Hey sharkbait27 what's been the biggest shark you've caught in Frank's shark tourney?Last year we fished the Grande Bite shark tournament with ""the Bite Tv" at Boca Grand pass and i remember stopping in Frank's tackle and seeing the poster for that tournament. If i'm not mistaken it's a kill tournament held in June or July right? Are they still having it in 2009? Back in the early 1980's the west coast of Florida use to have the best shark tournaments in the entire state and then they slowly fizzled out.I'm trying to compile a complete list of still active shark tournaments in the entire state of Florida.

about 9 or 10 foot wins but out of 500 entry olney 10 to 15 sharks are killed and all the meat is donated to the salvation army if the meat is no good the shark is dq from the contest it is a no waste tourny and yes it goes on every year one in june and one in august its 30 bucks to enter and pays 4 places it fun so in 09 i hope to see some of yall thir you do not need a boat to fish in boca fwc does not bother you for draging tarpon as long as you have a tag

Cuda is great bait, we caught my 11' 2" mako on half of a 55lb cuda. I caught the cuda off of the argonaut (my 18' achillies inflatable). Most all of our bait is caught off the argonaut. We eat snapper and cobia the rest is for the sharks. The other half of the cuda caught a 8'1" sand bar shark that was pregnate and got to swim away with a tag.
