In my memory from the1980s- 2006 Our club president William fundora was a 90 percent commited boat shark fisherman... Rarely scrolling the beaches, However landing monsters every year around all the Bimini and Bahamas islands.
I also clearly remember him as one of our shark club veteran khahunas, however one with very little to none time to fish all year. What was he doing though???????????? Running his pawn shop and religously eating the real estate market alive to ensure financial comfort for him and his two kids.... So he paid his dues and sacrificed years of fishing, but he made great decisions and financial moves... This mans intelligence has made him labor free for our worldwide known shark club and Land based sharkfishing whenever he pleases!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a shark fishing fanatic he started noticing the up and coming move of Land based Shark fishing and the monsters landed, so he made a complete 360 to Land Based Sharking and creating a coast to coast friendship with all landbased shark hunters who all are in search for the same adrenalin rushed thrill of landing king kong.
William Fundora,a man i consider the uncle i never had.Has Dedicated his blood heart and soul to shark conservation,our shark club,and Land Based fishermans rights. While we are at work, willy is at IGFAs office pressing for new catch and release world records for all of us. If not doing that you can join him side by side at floridas local court houses fighting for the fishermans rights.

While most of us lounge at home or hit the strip and movies with our wives, william and his beloved wife are typing up news letters and preparing events and meeeting that he pays for out of pocket 95 percent of the time............................................ Fellas this isnt a page like legends Rene,hamer and seaweed, however this is a Man who is Living legend making his mark for us right before our eyes........... This is the page to thank him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I know Will puts on the biggest and baddest shark tournaments in the nation. Like the big hammer challange. To do this takes time and money. He would not go through all of this with out loving the sport of land base shark fishing and all those who injoy it with him. 
Thanks for all you do, Will. I know it is a tremendous commitment of time & financial resources. You're helping get the next generation of shark fishermen ready for the search for the big one! <3

Our next big project that I have been preparing is the the Resurrection of the Haulover pier that was knocked down by hurricane Andrew in 1992,the parking lot is still there the beach is one of the most popular of Miami and someone needs to make this a reality ,,,,,,I WILL.I will be meeting with a Dade county commisioner shortly to discuss this project that will benefit the community, the fisherman, and the at risk youth of Dade county.

I have definitely noticed the impact that he has made on fishing and spearheading the people trying to stop us from fishing, his tournaments are pretty prestigious, and his ideas are righteous. And even during These troubled times, he stays strong and remembers the little people, and funds things out of his own pocket. On top of all this, he is realistic, reasonable, and not stuck up as a person and can joke around about stuff. His hard work has kept this club running and prosperous and I believe everyone should definitely thank him and his wife and the others that help out a lot with the club. So thanks Will and everyone else who makes this whole thing happen.
Also thanks to Shannon for being up at 5:30 in the morning and thinking about this and turning those thoughts into action by posting it on the forums (also another thanks to Will for keeping these forums up and running, I think they are very successful.)
P.S. If Haulover pier opened up I would probably fish it every day I possibly could!
