So here it is folks the biggest fish caught by members of the South Florida Shark Cub 2010 .If I missed anyone please let me know .I'm going by pictures of fish posted in 2010 and caught after each member has paid and only then.Hope I did not miss anyone!!
Joey Polk's 12 ft 9 inch Tiger would be the biggest in the shark category but he is not a 2010 member as of yet.
2010 SHARK CLUB ANNUAL PRIZE CATEGORIES
Every year shark club members get to compete for annual trophy and prizes.The winners in each category will have there name on a list that will be displayed on this website updated regularly and at the end of the year usually on December 26,27, or 28 we have a awards party/ceremony where we hand out the prizesto each winner.This party is the event of year and everyone has lots of fun.
RULES OF THE COMPETITION
Competition Dates= from January 1st,2010 - December 25th,2010
In order to promote and encourage catch and release of sharks the winners in each category are determined on each shark's total length.Measured from tip of nose to tip of tail.Sharks are not judged on weight.
Fish other then sharks are judged by weight or by length.Preferably you should weigh and measuere your fish, but If a scale is not available then measure the over all length for your catch to qualify for a prize. Fish that must be released such as Goliath grouper should be measured if possible to keep accurate records and to avoid discrepancies. All fish to be released must be handled with care to assure it's survival upon release.

For 2011 the Shark Club rules will change.
Anyone that wants to compete for the biggest of any species shark or fish will have to post the picture themselves in the "2011 Shark Club Standings" section.If a bigger fish is caught after your catch well then the bigger one goes on the board and the smaller one is bumped off.Remember that you must measure your shark and weigh or measure fish in the fish categories.It will be each shark club members responsibility to post there contending fish.Follow the rules or lose your spot. I will police anyone in the club for compliance I think most are responsible adults and know what they need to do.

Biggest Kingfish i think this estimated 50 inch By Jimmy Hancock representing the SFSC on the west coast from the venice pier beats out Lui Iglesias 45 1/2 inch specimen.
"I left all my stuff out there to go grab lunch.. and returned around 330 to try to get a kingfish.. 10 minutes after getting a bait down i got this guy,,,,,Jimmy Hancock
(around 50 inch about 25-30 lbs estimated)"
