Went with bucky on the boat this morning. first we hit the flat and snagged a few rays, then headed over to the pass. we were in the pass for about 5 min. before the first hookup. we had the ray on the surface and watched a 13-14 foot hammer eat the ray he ran about 250 yards then spit what was left of the ray out. at the same time that this was happening there were 2 more hammer and 5 or 6 bull circleing the boat smelling the other rays in the live well.
we hook up a fresh live ray and sent him on his way, as it dropped about ten feet in the water it got crushed the shark ripped it off the hook. well we put the last live ray on, drop it in the water it stayed on top of the water. it went about 20 feet behind the boat, then here comes a hammer cutting threw the water heading straight for the ray and at the last moment the hammer turned and a bull rushed in to claim his prize.
