JD Fagan has fished harder than half of the people I know this year, without taking into account the disheartening nights without even a click of the reel to repeat the process again and still strive on the next morning for school or work.

Josh reminds me a bit of myself, always trying to meet up with new people to fish with and learn new techniques to improve and support the people he's with.

In every report I see Chris studying or doing his homework out on the sand. He researches and experiments with fishing to a point where he can master his own backyard and spread his skills afar with impressive catches that most guys on the West coast cannot manage as persistently as he does.

September and October were great months for me. In three trips I personally landed 4 sharks and like a first mate set up new sharkers with quite the tug that a little bull often does mistaking itself for a big bull; being filled with testosterone and all. In total between a two week period I helped out with 8 sharks and lost a few more. Bull sharks have always been my favorite shark to catch. Resilient, strong fighters that can challenge some of the best anglers and can unexpectedly be found almost anywhere.

Just an average fisherman.

SOUTH FLORIDA SHARK CLUB'S November Sharker of the Month

SHARKER OF THE MONTH(NOVEMBER 2012)JD FAGAN

JD Fagan moved to Florida from Texas almost three years ago and became a South Florida Shark club member right away .Jd Hammer took him under his wing and taught him the ropes of florida style land-based shark fishing and then later Luis Cordova partnered up with him and has helped transform the young lanky sharker into a proficient shark catching machine .We have witnessed a TRANSFORMATION in the reports by Jd Fagan from a neophyte Florida sharker into a well honed sharker, and an excellent representative of conservation and respect for the animals in our sport .Jd Fagan is a soft spoken but tough minded and respectful sharker who well represents what all the SFSC members aspire to become in this new era of our sport. With his latest catch an 8ft 9 in Bull shark Jd Fagan has won 'Sharker of the Month' status four months in 2012.Rarely do we see an angler in our club win 'Sharker of the Month' four times during any year.Jd deserves a big Congratulations from all of us who are honored to have him as a friend.

This Quote below by Mark Resto is on point, and describes how Jd Fagan has fought through a tough work and school schedule and still catch some of the club's biggest sharks in 2012.

"JD Fagan has fished harder than half of the people I know this year, without taking into account the disheartening nights without even a click of the reel to repeat the process again and still strive on the next morning for school or work."

Jd Fagan's Report

" Me and my buddy Luis(picua) went out the other night with a fresh cuda and some nice weather conditions. So we get to the spot unload all the gear, and start walking everything to the beach. Once we setup Luis offered to take my bait out which i realy appreciated. Then shortly after we had baits in the water an hour or so goes by and my 14/0 starts going off,put it on free spool and let her eat then locked it up let it get realy tight to the point were it started to pull me and then did a few small sets cause i was using circle hooks at the time. Then it was on!!!I had to loosen up just a bit on the drag or else i would have gotten draged through the water. and then she made a few realy nice powerfull runs and then it was just i nice heavy fight with a few more runs every once and awhile. then when we see her we were both freaking out cause we knew she was huge, Luis went and got the tail rope and on it as soon as it got close enough! We kept fishing but that was the only hit we got. i cant thank Luis enough for all his help on that shark. Thanks bro!!"

SOUTH FLORIDA SHARK CLUB'S DECEMBER 2012 WINNER

SHARKER OF THE MONTH-JOSH JORGESEN 9ft 7 inch hammerhead shark

I went out last night with Tyler. The fishing conditions were not the best, but we did manage a 9'7" hammer. The pictures came out horrible due to the extremely bright headlamp I was wearing for the camera on my head.

Jd Hammer and Jd Fagan both fought that hammerhead over 10 foot and that is the ONLY reason that Hammer did'nt get the distinction for December.Remember "SHARKER OF THE MONTH" is determined by largest shark caught during the month UNLESS someone catches several worthy catches during the month and maybe a big Goliath then that angler might merit the prize instead.Everyones opinion most defenitly counts when selecting each months winner so i encourage ALL to place comment on who they think should win it.Thanks for your comments.
