I carry the responsibility of maintaining and keeping togeteher the South Florida Shark Club year after year.I am honored for that responsibility and I take what I do seriously and apply myself vigorously. I enjoy doing what I do but sometimes I know I can use some help but I don't generally ask for that help but rather see if folks volunteer.I am a bit disappointed with myself because I feel this year I have not been as involved and effective with things club related and for that I apologize to each and every 2010 Shark Club member. This was the year that my father passed away and many times during the first half of the year I was somehow involved in his care and medical needs.
My wife helps me quite a bit with the computer and the Graphics and she really goes out of her way to make our events including the Big Hammer Challenge a success and I am very greatful for her but she does not fish and cannot stay on top of tracking biggest sharks caught, most sharks caught and so forth so what i am saying is we need an official RECORDS KEEPER that would be in charge of tracking on the site the different shark and fish categories,it would have to be someone that is a shark club member and active on this board.
I am willing to consider any Club Member who has a sincere intention to get involved and help the club out.It has to be someone with energy and desire to grow our club and do positive things for the sport in general, and to also do positive things for the community. We also need a VICE PRESIDENT whose duties would include helping me set up strategy for 2011 and by strategy I mean new Ideas ,new projects, getting involved in setting up events throughout the year, doing charity events ,maybe having a booth at some of the many Nautical Flea Markets in the state.Setting up meetings and researching better places to meet. Our goals are to maintain the unity of the club and to be a positive voice for land-based shark fisherman.Anyone that volunteers can help with suggestions and help in setting up Club events for 2011.
Volunteers please post your intentions on this thread or PM me. We look forward to making 2011 our best year ever and making our events, get togethers and BIg Hammer Challenge Shark Tournament the best ever.Thank you very much
