Jd Hammer beats Rene with a 282 lb bull shark caught on the old Bahia Honda bridge.The teacher beats the student while fishing from a bridge.I remember that tourney Rene was not happy but he always respected and reveared his mentor and now competitor.He loved Jd and never had a bad word to say about te "old Man" as Rene used to call him.

Yep, I remember this one. JD called in sick at work to be in the tournament & when he went back to work his boss asked him if he was feeling any better. "Oh, lots better," he replied. Then the boss pulled out a copy of the above article that had been published in the Keynoter. LOL Only JD could get away with it & not get disciplined!
