Erica de Dios is the beautiful 23 year old daugther of Rene de Dios. Erica has just loaned the shark club the extensive and very impressive archives and picture albums, including newspaper articles and certificates of world records that he broke throughout his life.Erica has also provided us with the perpetual trophy that her father and i started in 1983 to keep an account of the biggest shark caught each year by a SOUTH FLORIDA SHARK CLUB member. During the next couple of days we will copy all of Rene's pictures and other articles and then return them to Erica de Dios.Erica de Dios is a bright young lady who is in college working on finishing her master's degree in business administation.Erica has taken the time in her busy work and college schedule to loan us her fathers things because she understands that we loved her father,looked up to him and are working on preserving his legecy.His gift to us(the passion with which he fished) will always live inside us and will forever keep his memory alive. With Rene's articles we will truly be able to showcase on this website the great history that Rene de Dios made catching some of the biggest sharks ever caught from land.My ultimate goal is to make a reality Rene's dream of writing a book about his adventures which he wanted to title "Revenge of The Hunter" We want to take this time to say -Thank you Erica.

I have spent many hours fishing with Rene and his number one topic even before sharks was his daughter Erica. Rene loved her more than anything on earth she was definitely his pride and joy in his life.
