Thread For 2010 BHC WARMUP TOURNEY(submit your catches here)

We don't care what anyone says about are sharks we know what we caught, regardless we caught more sharks in this tourney than any other team, we fished just as hard if not harder than the other teams. So what ever happens it was fun and an adventure. To Will and Colby's Team it was a pleasure fishing with you.

Alright guys ... times up.. no more pics. I deff see some room for improvement for this tournament and some rules that need to be added.
Next year:
1) All measurements will be standardized and these crooked measurements/ measurements where half the tape is bent will not be counted.
2) It will be a requirement for at least one member of each team to attend the captains meeting to put some input into the tournament and ask there questions there so there is no confusion.
3) I am considering adding points for every foot over 6 foot instead of over 8 foot since there is definitley a difference between a 6 foot fishes fight and that of of an 8 footer.
4) Work on our species list
5) Posts must be posted within 3 days of your catch

For this year, I want to thank all who participated and all the hardwork that everyone put into their fishing. It is awesome to be part of such a hardcore group of sharkfishermen and I loved the ability to keep in contact with all the teams to see how their fishing was going throughout the week. I feel it is things like this that can bring us landbased fisherman together. I will now tally up all the points forall the teams and post the standings. If you want to help me out.. I wouldnt mind if you organized your pics in a way that would make it easier to tally them up.

Cape Haze Rods I dont think anyone is being direspectful or calling you a liar. We were just told you had 6 bulls and not one of your photos has a bull shark, my man.. Bulls have an obvious stubby body and round nose.

I fished this tournament Damn hard myself, even with my wife and 2 year old daughter along side untill she got sick.

Point is nobody says your lying or that your not deserving, just that the photos simply show 0 bull sharks, when we were told you had 6. I mean does any one from neutral teams have any opinions?

Greenie was unable to post his pics due to computer troubles... I just go off the phone with him around 30 mins ago. This is unfortunate because they really hit up the fish up north and deff put in their time on the beach. This type of stuff can be prevented by posting your pics every couple of days.

I mean no disrespect to anyone who is out to help further the sport of shark fishing while also working to protect it so one day those who come after us can enjoy it. And everyone can tell all teams worked hard to summit results that they have.. I know most of you on the west coast and I am not trying to start anything. I am simply stating the truth. And if it stings I am sorry dont realy Know how else I can put it..

(TO Shark Bait). I hate for things to go this way but i feel you are being very immature on a totally normal tournament
conversation, one in which all parties are helping each other out to find the winner.
Personally since you say that you are a fisherman for x amount of years, you should know the difference between a sandbar and a bull shark.......... They look nothing alike. and if any one is upset it should be all of your opposing teams that were devastated when we got word of your team catching 6 bulls(3600 points). I know for a fact that several teams and fisherman did not finish out the tournament as relentless and confident as they could have been, due to the fact ...(we all thought you blew us out of the water with 6 bulls) That was a major Blow for two of my teamates who eased off towards the end.You just dont do that.

i agree with you shannon man.. we left our spot early figuring their team had caught 3600 to 5000 points worth of sharks.. now were wondering what the outcome is..

Shark Bait nobody here is saying hey (cape haze cheated ) or calling you out. We are just simply pointing out the obvious that those are all sand bars.

And about the 6 bull sharks and 4 duskys that i keep bringing up, You may not have posted it but you told that to the Tournament organizer Colby Uva

Thats like after day 3 of the tournament i say we caught a jaw dropping 15 lemons, and then i post 15 nurse sharks at the end of tournament.
The damage of scaring all the other teams into early submission and intimidated out of wack fishing will have already been done.

my computer problem is fixed. i fished everyday. my team lost almost all confidence
when we thought we got blown away by hardhookers with 7 bulls and 5 duskys, turns out that there all sandbars witch dont count. i tried posting pictures today but my computer would not turn on. can i post my pics now that my computer is working?

well its whatever im done with it i just busy geting ready for the 28 in the keys so its all good what happends happends but i got no problems with any one

I know no one on Hard Hookers, and i am not taking sides, but the truth is the truth..

Actually im such a class act i wouldnt mind a vote to let Greenie (mike Croke) submit his pics within the next hour and have them count. That kid has us all beat from what i hear, but that dosent matter to me, put yourself in his shoes.

I also feel Cape Haze showed there a Force to be Reckoned with, and if sandbars counted, they would have won.....

Cape haze and shark bait are just taking it the wrong way.

Seeweed that says alot about you and i hope greenie corects his problems I REALY HOPE TO FACE THEM IN THE BIG HAMMER BUT WE ALL FISHED BY THE RULES and as Colby said there is room for improvement next year.....Good luck to all still waiting to see..

This tourney was the brainchild of Colby Uva ,organized and run by Colby Uva, and we are grateful for all his efforts----I personnally know the hard work it takes to run one of these tournaments.James (aka Sharkbait)the shark club has no input as to the final results of this tournament,this tourney is not our tourney, but instead Colby's, please be courteous and respectful and direct whatever negative comments you have or disappointments you have in the right direction- not at this site,it's moderators or the shark club .We aim to stay focused on doing positive things for this sport and uniting the land-based shark fishing community.If we win this i will donate my share of the cash prizes to whatever Team I think ememplifies good sportsmanship and honest conduct.I have to repeat myself sometimes and here i go again -WIN OR LOSE IS NOT AS IMPORTANT as other things that I get from this sport and the fisherman involved in it.I'm 47 years old and have been at this sport a long,long time and will cut my hand off before I try to take any prize from any team or individual who deserves it.My suggestion is for Colby Uva to get one of the marine biologist involved to positively identify each and every one of Team Cape Haze's sharks.Please no childish behaviour on this thread and if it get's STUPID i will lock it.Please watch your words!!Whatever Colby the tournament organizer determines I will accept and respect.Good luck to all.
