Shark Tournaments we've fished in the past

We have fished many different shark tournaments both in the east coast and west coast of Florida in the past and most are long gone but we still remember when they were much more popular then today.Most of the tournaments were meant for boat fisherman,still others had seperate categories for guys fishing from land.Today the internet has allowed the landbased shark fisherman an oppurtunity to show the world what great catches are made from shore.Land based catch and release shark tournaments have begun to sprout up as the internet makes it easier to show a picture of a shark that has been caught and released without having to kill the shark to weigh it on a scale.

Man i remember some of those tournements we'd fish on a beach we did.nt no and do pretty good but then the boats were coming in with 800 pond tigers,or 700 pond dusky or big 650 hammer we were getting knocked out by the boat guys.We had fun thou it was always great times riding in an old van with my shark pals,dangerous at times too much smoke coming from the van.Wow lets doit again. :D :lol:

lui you were sure there i have you and all the old timers pictures. i would give a leg, a finger, my dog, heck even my daughter to be around in the 70s, fishing on the old south beach pier. by the way just joking about my daughter lol.
but yah man lui you guys had it so good, i would never go home if they build us a new pier going st8 off of nikki beach into far out on the reef!!!!! wow rene will turn in his grave with exitement.
