I have to say that I had a lot of fun fishing side by side with all in this tournament. Like every tournament it needs a few tune ups, but other than that it was well managed and had great exposure. I hope it will all end up in the positive side.
Congratulations on a job well done Josh, and I hope that next time you will expand the fishing areas.
Thanks for picking up my plaque Will.
Herbert
Good luck fishing!
We're finally back home on the west coast, and happy to say that was one of the best weeks we've ever had fishing -- without actually fishing! Like we said before, we knew a lot of participants, but didn't have the pleasure of meeting many of you in person. prior to this event. Without exception, each of you welcomed us into your camps and made us feel right at home.
After being asked to come into this later in the game, we had to work hard and fast with Josh to refine the rules and streamline the event, while bringing in our contacts with NOAA, the NMFS, some of our own sponsors and members of the Int'l media in an effort to elevate this event in every way possible.
However, the bottom line is that without support of all you anglers, and certain of the sport's influential personalities, nothing else would have mattered much at all. In the end, and with a lot of eyes on us, we all pushed through adverse conditions, tight schedules and other obstacles to pull this off.
What we took away from this, and what stood out most in our minds, was how well everyone came together and supported one another. Along with plenty of shark-infested footage, we also captured a story of comararderie, a passion for this sport and a commitment to managing the natural resources that bring us all so much enjoyment.
Congratulations to everyone who fished, covered and supported this event. We had one hell of a time being involved and look forward to sharing the story we captured.
Cheers & Tight Lines,
Sean & Brooks
Right back at 'ya. We had too many good times to count and look forward to sharing the shots ... including that patented nighttime wade gut, no kayak required, bait deployment technique of yours, Cudaman.
And Aaron, your long board, heavy surf strategy will make for some proof of the kind of practical commitment you guys showed to getting it done out there. Ass kickin' quickly comes to mind.
All The Best,
The Bros
