The 2014 tournament will take place between Wednesday January 29th and Sunday February 2nd. The anglers meeting will take place on Wednesday January 29th. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday February 2nd. The time and location of both the anglers meeting and the awards ceremony will be announced in the upcoming months.
Hotel Savings
Angler's will receive a $70.00 discount if they stay at Fairfield Inn Suites in either Jupiter or Boca Raton during the tournament.
Changes to rules:
- 5 members per team.
- Largest shark will be determined by overall length.
- Blacktips will be determined by estimated weight.
- All measurements must be made with the tape measure provided by the tournament.
- All members of a team must fish together.
Prizes
- Cash prizes are based upon the number of anglers that attend. At 100 anglers: 1st Place Largest Blacktip and 1st Place Most Sharks will take $1000 in cash. 1st Place largest shark will take $1250, with cash prizes being awarded to 2nd and 3rd place as well.
- Sponsor prizes are yet to be determined.
Last year we had some impressive catches, including: two blacktips larger than the Florida State Record, 11 sharks measured over 8ft in length, a quadruple header of bull sharks (all over 8ft), and over 75 sharks caught in 72 hours. Will 2014 be yet another breakout year for anglers?

I love the largest fish being overall length makes releases much easier. Keeping it for black tips is no biggie they live forever, bulls, hammers, and lemons need be quick measurements.

I would say jimmy dean but he is nowhere to be found and he barely fishes anymore.
The one thing I totally disagree with is crippling and enabling all teams to stay at the same spot and fish together.
We should change that rule!!

As long as one person from the team is at the meeting that will suffice correct? I plan to be there for my team who will arrive the following day.
