A long time ago, the Miami Herald printed pictures of local beaches taken from the Goodyear blimp. THose pictures showed a surprising number of big sharks swimming between people in the water. I can't remember hearing about any attack.

1. Could those pictures imply that the sharks are already at the beach and that attacks are just terrible accidents attributable largely, but not always completely, to bad luck ?
2. What do shark experts say about the danger shark fishing poses to swimmers and bathers, eg., are there statistics showing shark fishing poses a threat ?
3. Could the physical characteristics of a beach, eg., currents, proximity to deep water, water clarity, tendency for bait to congregate there, etc. make a beach more dangerous than fisherman ever could (assuming no chumming) ?

Sharks are said to be attracted by splashing. People swimming and bathing at the beach splash around, but it doesn't seem reasonable to ban such activiities.

4. Could beach goers be attracting more sharks than the shark fisherman do ?

ask any bow hunter that hunts deer and elk anywhere around yellowstone national park at the corner of Idaho/Wyoming and Montana why they also carry a 44magum on there side along with bear spray is to defend them selves from the grizzly bears that are no longer afraid of man because they are over populated and unhunted. due to the same reasons none educated people that do not know the real truth but only what they can see from the road when they are in there cars same as he people on the beach see no sharks .butt in actuality the sharks are swimming all around them.. if we catch the sharks and put the natural fear of man back in them maybe there will be less shark attacks the same with the bears if we were allowed to hunt just enough bears to keep there numbers in check there will be less attacks on people due to the bears having the natural fear of man
THE WAY IT SHOULD BE
